About Dr Abs Casaus

Dr Abs Casaus is a Consultant & Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry who helps children and young people feel calm and confident at the dentist. He provides private specialist children's dental care in Newcastle upon Tyne (BUPA Dental Care Kelvin Lodge) and Barnt Green (RESTORE Dental Specialists). In addition, he leads hospital-based care and teaching as a Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at Leeds Dental Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds. Fluent in Spanish and with a good understanding of Arabic, Abs can support families in multiple languages. His interests include behaviour management, dental trauma, minimally invasive aesthetics and the use of inhalation sedation and video-glasses for anxious children.

​Caring for children's smiles is constantly evolving, and Abs ensures he stays up to date with the latest techniques through regular CPD, research and innovation. His work was nationally recognised in 2024 with nominations at the Private Dentistry Awards for child-friendly practice and the management of nervous patients.
 
He is passionate about teaching and training future specialists and consultants. Supporting junior colleagues, contributing to research, and engaging with the wider dental community keeps him motivated to provide the best possible care for his young patients with excellent feedback.
